Description
Syros is a Greek island in the Cyclades, in the Aegean Sea.

We are in Ermoupolis, the capital of the island, to the left of the Shipyards of Syros (Neorio) in the area that extends the Shipyard of Wooden Boats, of the Mavrikos brothers. This is a well-known family that has left an indelible mark on the Greek shipbuilding tradition since the founding of the shipyard in 1860 until today.

We see a general view of the traditional shipyard, boats half-finished at their stands, others for repair and a panoramic shot of the shipyard. A man throws the wood, with which he will complete the construction of the ship’s hull behind him, in the sea water so that it will be softer and easier to apply.

We see panoramic shots of the traditional shipyard, small and large boats that are under construction, others that are on hold as well as the space that is full of wood, machinery and tools.
