The story of the World Festival of Youth and Students, begins in the summer of 1947 in Prague. Through a variety of events such as sports games in several different sports, political seminars and conversations, concerts and other events took place the 11th festival in July 1978 in Cuba.
On both sides of the road, which the bus crosses, children and Cuban citizens welcome delegations by waving red handkerchiefs. A little further down the road we see the same excitement on the street from children in swimsuits as the members of the mission arrive at their hotel. A panoramic view of the surrounding area and the rest houses of the delegations.
Cuban teenagers and children approach the missions as buses continue to arrive. A view of the port of the area with canoe, sea bikes and moored small boats.
Afterwards we see the Greek singer Maria Farantouri, talking to a girl, one more member of the mission, and finally a zoom-in shot of the Greek singer Maria Dimitriadi. The two artists took part in the Festival as a part of its cultural events.
