We are at the International Airport of Elliniko and specifically in the parking lot of the airplanes where the cinematographer gives us shots from everyday life at the old airport of Athens.
We watch parked planes and kerosene tankers that fill them, while at the same time the vehicles of the Olympic Airlines transport people from the terminal to the aircraft and the other way around.
Travelers board on a De Havilland Comet 4Β of the Olympic Airlines with a discreet military presence, while the-then-new British Airways HS Trident is probably getting ready for taxiing.
Also for taxiing goes a Ilyushin-18 of MALEV that passes in front of a De Havilland Comet 4Β as a Douglas DC-3 C-47B [SX-BAL] lands.
The film closes with the taxiing and eventually the takeoff of a De Havilland Comet 4Β aircraft. We watch the “nose” of the aircraft as it rises, lowering its tail until it takes off.
