Description
We are in Times Square in Midtown, Manhattan, New York.

We watch footage of the strike of the "Nathan's Famous" hot dog restaurant employees under the discreet presence of the police. The strikers are moving in a circle holding placards with their demands, collective labor and wages agreements as they call on the people to take part in their struggle.

People move around in hurry just looking at the strikers and some others are going out of the restaurant as they just had enjoyed their meal.

The strike of the "Nathan's Famous" in which 500 employees took part ended on May 19, 1972 after 44 days.

Clara Bow was a waitress at Nathan's Famous before she became famous and President Roosevelt enjoyed a meal there with the King and Queen of England. It was also Al Capone's favorite hangout. The first Nathan's Famous restaurant opened in 1917 and the restaurant in Times Square in 1971
