We are in the lowlands of the prefecture of Chania, Crete, near Kissamos, surrounded by the verdant hills.
The filmmaker records a military plane that performs low flights. We speculate that its base is Maleme Airport, which in those years was used mainly for the training of Air Force pilots.
In an area full of olive trees, an elderly Cretan, in traditional costume and holding a “katsuna” (Cretan cane) has taken his two sheep for grazing. As the plane continues its flight, the man gets on his donkey and, along with the sheep, departs from the spot.
One last panoramic shot of the plane and in the background we can see the mountains.
