I was born in Topolia of Kissamos in Chania, Crete, in 1934. During the period I was specializing as a neurosurgeon, I received a gift as a token of gratitude, which was to become the trigger for me to get involved in filming.
It was an excellent 8mm East German film camera which led me to the passion of capturing images without sound.
The moving picture has a magic that surpasses everything else. I am glad that that camera accompanied me for many years until the introduction of the video camera in 1981.
