Description
The film opens with footage from the church of Santa Marina in Porto Rafti.
A car is moving on a dirt road that in the course of time will become Avlakiou Avenue, and the visitors walk on the rocky shore. Behind the church are the mountains of Mavrovounio where the forest of Kouvaras is located. We watch the facade and the bell tower of the church (single-aisled, vaulted with double-sided semi-outdoor spaces) and the foundations of the old church that was destroyed by unknown causes.
The filmmaker captures with his lens the members of the company as they go down on the dirt road by their car and continues with shots from their tour in the area.
The young man of the group gets out from the peristyle of the church and the lens follows his gaze to Mount Merenda. Afterwards, the group approaches the door of the church to see if it is open while the oldest of the group walks thoughtfully alongside the shore near the foundations of the old church. Behind him, we can see the islets of Rafti and Raftopoula.
The group gets into the car and the filmmaker says goodbye to the location with panoramic shots of the area where we see a flock of sheep.
Then we watch shots from an outdoor tavern in the area where the group have lunch. The film closes with the company enjoying a coffee at the square of Chalandri.
