We are in Topolia, a village in the prefecture of Chania in Crete.
A man is milking his goat, an old woman is holding a clay bowl that is getting filled with milk from the animal's breasts as the goat is at the same time grazing the surrounding grass and ruminating its food undisturbed. We see a rich foam in the fresh milk.
After the goat milking, the old woman nails a stick to the ground with a stone to tie the goat.
Afterwards, we are on the road, outside of a house where a white car is parked, an old Cretan in his island’s traditional costume, black breeches (short pants), shirt, vest, belt, black headscarf, white traditional cretan boots and a knife. A young woman talks and laughs with him.
In the shot, we see two young men who observe the elements of the old man’s traditional clothing, one stands out a large worry beads and the other one the knife that the old man has in his belt which he shows to the camera.
The young girl jokes with the old Cretan, twists his scarf and they laugh together.
