Description
We are in Istanbul, the largest city in Turkey.

The film opens with footage from a Bosphorus cruise boat where the filmmaker is on, and takes us on a city tour. There is plenty of traffic on the waters of Bosphorus with several ships of various sizes from a small boat to a large commercial ship. The lens stands for a while at the Galataport building in the Karaköy (former Galata) commercial quarter, in the Beyoğlu district.

Afterwards, we see the Rumelihisarı fortress (also known as Rumelian Castle and/or Roumeli Hissar Castle) and views of the city both for its building structure and for its mountain ranges. We see a woman and a little girl who talk laughing on the boat and the film closes with the blue waters of Bosphorus.

The historic areas of the city, with important monuments, belong to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, since 1985. The most important sights of the city include the Hagia Sophia, Yedikule Fortress "Fortress of the Seven Towers”) and the Walls of Constantinople, the Monastery of the Mother of God of the Spring, the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople building, the Fener as well as the Topkapı Palace, the Süleymaniye Mosque and the Sultan Ahmed Mosque (also known as the Blue Mosque).
