Description
Volos is a city, in the geographical department of Greece Thessaly, built in the innermost part of the Pagasitic Gulf, at the foot of Mount Pelion.

The film has as a main subject the cement production plant HERACLES, which is located on the coastline of the National Road Volos-Agria. The factory was founded in 1924.

The film makes reference to the great pollution that the plant causes in the sea and in the wider area. With fast and upside down shots and zoom-in, zoom-out on the premises, machines and large merchant ships, the cinematographer emphasizes the contrast with the tranquility of nature and the mountain of Pelion. A sign reading "It is forbidden to pollute the sea", against the background with the enormous factory unit, emphasizes the irony.

The TSIMENTIAS ship and some other ships moored at the port, a local bus crosses the National Road. Shots from anchored fishing boats, a platform in the sea, from where swimmers dive.

Finally, we have shots of a beautiful church and its bell tower and various panoramic views of the verdant area.
