Description
We are in Thessaloniki, the capital of Macedonia in Greece.

It is October 26, 1974, the day of the celebration of St. Demetrios, the city’s patron saint, but also a day that celebrates its liberation during the First Balkan War.

The filmmaker is on Egnatia Odos and records the Military Parade, which is watched by a crowd of people, gathered on both sides of the street.

First, the Army Philharmonic Orchestra pass by playing a march, followed by the veterans of the Macedonian Wars, with their banners.

Afterwards, the motorcyclists of the Military Police parade.

The tanks are next in the row and we see part of Aristotelous Square. The personnel transport vehicles follow, while the parade continues with the entry of the Artillery vehicles that carry from small missiles to large caliber cannons and anti-aircraft missiles.

The camera turns to the sky and records the participation of the Air Force in the parade, where the first Greek F-4E Phantom fighters, which were received from Greece in the same year, fly in formations.
