Description
We are in Mount Athos, the monastic community of Mount Athos which is a self-governing part of the Greek State, located on the Athos peninsula of Halkidiki, in Macedonia.
The film opens with views of the area from the boat where the filmmaker is and the Holy Monastery of Dochiari. We see the bell tower and the Holy Monastery of Agios Panteleimonos as well as a short shot with the view. The recording continues with-in all probability-the Holy Monastery of Konstamonitou and the coastline. The lens stands on the dock where there are fishing boats moored and two elderly men talking to a priest.
Afterwards, we get back to the Monastery of Dochiari while the lens gives us a panoramic view of the sea and the building structure of the coastline. The camera focuses on a ship that carries people and gives us views of Mount Athos from the moving ship, as well as shots from the deck.
The film closes with views of the mountains of Athos, the Holy Monastery of Gregory and the Holy Monastery of Simonos Petra.
