Skopelos is a Greek island in the Aegean Sea and one of several islands which comprise the Northern Sporades island group.
We are in the courtyard of the picturesque church Panagitsa (Virgin Mary) of Pyrgos or the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary which is an emblematic building of Chora (the main town of Skopelos) and is the first thing you see when you reach the port, as it appears perched high on a rock at the edge of the island.
In the background, we see one of the two wooded mountains of the island, Palouki, and in the sea a pier which sets the one side of the port.
The filmmaker and his family go up the picturesque alleys of the island and we have a better view of the mountains, the bell tower of the Church of the Nativity of Christ which is also the Metropolitan Church of Chora. There are over 300 churches and monasteries on the island.
A ship enters the port as a boat sails away from it.
