Description
We are in Syntagma Square, the central square of Athens.
The film opens with a woman greeting the filmmaker and then two little girls looking at the pigeons. Two women give them sunflower seeds to feed them and as the children throw the seeds, the pigeons gather around. The lens stays on the two women with the children who are feeding the birds as behind them we see one of the two “evzones” (elite soldiers of the Greek army, more widely known as "tsoliades") who guard the Monument to the Unknown Soldier.
