Description
We are in Lefkes, Paros, a Mediterranean mountainous village of the island of Paros at an altitude of 200 meters, 10 km from Parikia, the capital of Paros.

The film opens with a general view of the area. We can see the dry stones in the background, the building structure that the island had then, as with a zoom in shot, we can see the white houses better. Afterwards, the filmmaker gives us a tour of the alleys, as a woman who sits on a terrace and another elderly one who walks down the street, enter the shot. The lens focuses on a man leading a donkey on which are two children, while a woman follows a little further behind.

The film closes with the man, the children on the donkey and the woman walking down the street.

Creator's description

Lefkes like we've never experienced before.
The grandmother, (Zoi Kontaratou) who was born there, left early but always came back!! Unforgettable that summer!
As little children, we used to go to the alleys and my gaze was always stayed on the mills on the hill, which then, to my childish eyes, seemed like stone fortresses of another era.
And stories about the "xoirolako" - outside the village - haunted us all our afternoons and nights.
"Don't pass by because the devil is lurking!!”
They probably told us this so that we wouldn't stray from the village, since the location was towards the exit.
This is dedicated to my grandmother, who much later (in my adolescence) took me to the monastery of Thapsana and I had the great fortune to meet Father Philoteos.
Also dedicated to my ancestors Marko and Dimitris Kontarato, monks at the monastery of "Longovarda" (19th century) with the monastic name "Maximos".
