Description
Platy is a village in the Municipality of Prespa in the prefecture of Florina.
In the film we watch snapshots from the festival that takes place on August 6, in the central square of the area, in honor of the Transfiguration of the Savior and is the most important cultural event of the village.
In our first shot, among the villagers gathered for the festival, a concrete mixer crosses the road, as we see a man dancing an unknown "zeibekiko" next to the band, while some of his fellow villagers on their knees are clapping their hands with the rythm.
The tables in the cafe are full of people, children running, playing, imitating the adults who dance traditional dances from "lytos" to "hasapoposerviko". Others greet the filmmaker, others stand in front of him and block him, others watch those who dance, in an atmosphere of cheerfulness and feasting from participants of all ages.
