Madrid is the capital and largest city of Spain.
The film begins with a shot of the House of Representatives building, where the famous couple of Lions (Daóiz and Velarde), created by Ponciano Ponzano, symbolically guards and controls the entrance.
Then we have a visit to the Prado Museum, with shots of visitors entering it.
Following are views of the main square of Madrid "Plaza Mayor" with the centuries-old historic buildings, with the uniform architecture, surrounded by balconies, turrets, skylights, galleries and the paved terrain that once was an arena for bullfights and place of executions.
Then shots from a main street in Madrid, from a tourist bus, excessive traffic in the city from people and cars, a shot of the cinematographer's companion holding the Times newspaper, a return to the Congress building, footage from a walk in a city park and a fountain.
The film ends with a small shot from the famous fountain, the statue of the goddess Cybele and two shots from the Puerta de Alcalá Gate, a symbol of the city and the most beautiful monumental arch in Europe.
