Mount Nebo is a mountain in Jordan, stands at a height of 710 metres and is 10 kilometres west of Madaba. According to the Hebrew tradition, Moses ascended to the top of the mountain to see the land of Canaan, and according to Christian tradition he was buried on the mountain.
