The story of the World Festival of Youth and Students, begins in the summer of 1947 in Prague. Through a variety of events such as sports games in several different sports, political seminars and conversations, concerts and other events took place the 11th festival in July 1978 in Cuba.
In the first shots of the film we watch the El Capitolio or National Capitol Building (Capitolio Nacional de La Habana) in Havana, which until the revolution in 1959 was the headquarters of the Cuban Government and today is the Cuban Academy of Sciences and a view from a part of the building of the National Theater, which today is the permanent seat of the National Ballet of Cuba.
We see footage from an event as a part of the Festival, we recognize from the Greek delegation Christos Papoutsis who was later a member of the parliament with the greek party PASOK, in Greece.
The event includes speeches, concerts as well as the young people watch, participate, relax on the grass, chat, laugh and applaud.
Lastly, the inscription "La juventud de la Checoslováquia sosialista" (The Socialist Youth of Czechoslovakia) gives the impression that the event was organized by the Czechoslovak delegation.
