Description
Volos is a city in the geographical region of Greece Thessaly, built in the innermost part of the Pagasitic Gulf, at the foot of Mount Pelion.

It is October 28th, a national anniversary for Greece, we are in the courtyard of the Metropolitan Church of Saint Nikolaos at Volos where the doxology (a short hymn of praises to God in various forms of Christian worship) for the celebration of "NO" in World War II has been performed. The authorities of the city exit the church, a large number of soldiers, the Philharmonic orchestra plays in their passage.

Afterwards, we are on the coastal road of Volos and a crowd applauses part of the Greek Navy that parades.

As the camera moves, captures an army vehicle with laurels and a small jet of water as well as the classical style building of the Bank of Greece.

High priests and officials leave the church, get in the cars and drive away from the crowd.

October 28, 1969. In the city of Volos, the parade is impressive. The officials in parade uniforms with swords and the laurel-crowned army vehicle parade as a jet of water is thrown! The Hotel "Kypseli" and the Bank of Greece are visible on the quay of Volos. The Doxology is performed with magnificence and with two bishops. The one on the right is the Metropolitan Bishop of Dimitrias, Elias, while there is also a General judging by his medals.
