Description
A sign welcomes us in Pigadia, the capital of Karpathos.
The city is built around the port and extends to the foot of Mount Kali Limni.
We watch shots of the boats that are inside the harbor and the houses that embrace the harbor, houses of urban style with a strong influence of neoclassicism.
On the Vounos, the imposing rock rises the waving Greek flag and at its feet are scattered alleys with blue windows as well as the women who make small groups in various places to gossip the news of the day. In the traditional coffee houses, old and young people enjoy moments of relaxation and in the port’s dock two Minesweeper boats of the Greek Navy, the N/A Daphni (M-247) and N/A Aidon (M-248).
We see panoramic views of the port where we can see the Vounos and the building structure of the town. The film closes with a seagull flying while still holding its prey in its beak.
