Description
The film opens with the arrival of two Alfa Romeos at the construction area where the works for the creation of the Mornos dam in the prefecture of Phocis were being carried out. We watch the sign with the name of the construction company "Proodeftiki".

The project started in 1969, was completed in 1979, but its operation began in 1981. The dam reaches up to 125 meters and the artificial lake that was created, covers the water supply needs of Athens and the surrounding areas. The lens follows the tall earthen volumes and the filmmaker with his friends are given a tour to the facilities.

We watch the autonomous cement production unit, concrete mixers, crushing units, and cranes that launch construction materials.

Then, we see panoramic shots of the construction site and the under construction channel.

The lens, then, follows the car as it enters and exits through a tunnel, an excavator at work, one more that moves at the edge of the earthen mass and lastly the works of a lifting machine at a tunnel's entrance.

Back to the construction area with the lens recording the works of the heavy machinery, the filmmaker’s tour guide in a tunnel where pipes dominate at the top of it and finally a tour of the open water channels.

The film closes with footage from the Gkiona tunnel. For its construction a full-front cutting machine was used for the first time in Greece by the contractor company that had undertaken the work, the E.D.O.K. SA

It is worth mentioning that for the project’s construction, the ancient city of Kallipoli and the village of Kallio were sacrificed and were covered by the waters of the lake. Every time the lake’s level lowers due to drought, the village emerges as well as the fortification wall of the ancient city.
