We are on the road toEdessa, a town in Pella in the Region of Central Macedonia, in Greece.
The film opens from inside the car. The filmmaker shows us the car’s driver and footage from the route. Afterwards, we see a couple walking around and the lens focuses on the sign which informs us that we are at the waterfalls.
Edessa Waterfalls is a natural phenomenon that was created after a strong earthquake that struck the surrounding area in the 14th century, since then, over time, there have been several changes in their morphology due to smaller earthquakes. The main source of these is the Wetland of Agra-Nisiou, from which flows the main river, the Edessaeus whose branches form the waterfalls.
We see shots from the Waterfall Park and the filmmaker’s group of friends as they explore and record the landscape.
The film closes with the filmmaker’s company who have descended to the Great Waterfall, 70 meters high, at the bottom of which is located a cave with stalactites and a vaulted roof.
