We are in Paris, the capital and most populous city of France. The film opens with the Eiffel Tower, the trademark of the city of Paris. The filmmaker shows us the landmark from bottom to top. The camera focuses on a woman and then on the base of the tower as a couple comes towards us. We see a short shot of the Champ de Mars and visitors who enjoy the garden and we get back to the Eiffel Tower.
The lens shows us the landmark in detail. It was built in 1889 by the engineer Gustave Eiffel and today it is one of the most famous buildings in the world. With a height of 324 meters, it was the tallest building in the world until it was surpassed by the Empire State Building in New York in 1931. The filmmaker gives us a panoramic shot of Paris from the elevator that is on the way up, with the Seine river standing out. We see a short shot of the woman admiring the view and we get back to the views of the city with a riverboat crossing the Seine.
The film closes with the Passerelle Debilly bridge and the Paris from above, from the top of the Eiffel Tower.
