We are in Washington, D.C., the capital of the United States.
The film opens with a short shot of a woman with the obelisk of the Washington Monument standing out in the background and then we see a man in front of the National Museum of Natural History. The camera briefly follows the man in Union Square and afterwards, we see the US Capitol. The lens shows us the building from a closer distance and then we see a panoramic shot of the city.
Afterwards, we see the exterior of the Lincoln Memorial, a US national monument that was built to honor the 16th president of the United States, Abraham Lincoln and houses the impressive statue of the president.
The camera records a man who admires the view of the National Mall with the Washington Monument standing out in the background. The view changes with the filmmaker visiting the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, as we see in the sign, and he also shows us views from its interior.
The film closes with the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge over the Potomac River and the Lincoln Memorial.
