On the road from Athens to Ancient Olympia we see a short shot of the Corinth Canal as a steam train crosses over the iron bridge. Then we tour the archaeological site with the help of a guide. We see the ancient temples, the columns of the Temple of Zeus and we end up at the Stadium.
At the end of the film we see a small camping site with tents outside the archaeological site.
Olympia was the most glorious sanctuary of ancient Greece dedicated to Zeus. It was the venue for the Olympic Games, held in the context of the Olympics festival, the most important celebration of the Greeks during most of antiquity.
