Description
We are in Meteora, a complex of dark colored sandstone rocks that rise outside Kalambaka in Thessaly, near the first heights of Pindos and Hasia. The monasteries of Meteora, which are built on the tops of some of the rocks, are today the second most important monastic complex in Greece, after Mount Athos. Of the thirty that existed historically, today only six are in operation, which, since 1988, have been included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

The film opens with a car passing through a railway line and a general shot of the area with the Meteora rocks standing out. Afterwards, the lens shows us two young women visiting a shop, the monasteries of Meteora and standing in an outdoor flea market. The filmmaker focuses on the Monastery of Great Meteoron and the tower of the vrizoniou that housed the mechanism for the net, which was formerly used by the monks for their access to the monastery while also showing us the building.

The recording continues with the ascent of the visitors to the monastery, as once again we see the tower of the vrizoniou as well as a panoramic view of the entire area. The view changes with a general shot of the-most likely-Rousanos monastery, while shots of the monastery's courtyard follow. We see two nuns going to their cells, a panoramic shot of the courtyard as well as people coming and going.

The film closes with the wild and imposing view, people going up and down and the Varlaam Monastery or Monastery of All Saints which is built on the top of a steep rock.
