Description
History revives again here in Toronto Fort York, as soldiers in historical costumes take you to the battlefields of 1813, acting in a partial representation.

The fort was declared as a historic site in 1923 and was preserved in its original form.

In the film, we watch soldiers in uniforms load their guns and open fire. A short break, a small talk and a little further down, other soldiers load a cannon with gunpowder. The film ends with soldiers firing the cannon.

Creator's description

One of the oldest places in Toronto is Fort York, which was built in 1793. Today it is a museum, but a museum with a difference because it is a living museum. Not only do we see the original buildings and their contents, but we also see young men dressed up as British soldiers of the year 1814 marching and carrying out gun-drills in the authentic manner. A gimmick? Perhaps, but a successful gimmick all the same, because it is very well done.
