The great Greek painter Domenikos Theotokopoulos (El Greco) lived a large part of his life in Toledo, which was the capital of the Spanish Empire (1085-1559), and created some of the most famous of his mature works there.
The film begins with people walking on a stone-paved path leading to the building that is the museum dedicated to Theotokopoulos.
We then see the marble sign bearing the legend Museo dl Greco at the entrance and the double iron door leading to the interior.
Shots of the courtyard follow, as the cinematographer and his companion wander along the verandas.
Toledo is a city and a municipality, capital of the province of Toledo in the autonomous community of Castile–La Mancha.
