Piraeus is the third largest city in Greece after Athens and Thessaloniki and the chief sea port of Athens. It is the largest port in Greece from where the Aegean islands and Crete can be reached by a ferry boat.
The film begins with views of Piraeus from the ship "Kriti" of the Shipping Company ANEK Lines.
Across the road in the buildings, we see billboards of the companies KARELIA, SIEMENS, STAKOR-FORD, AMSTEL, CAMPAS.
The lens follows the cinematographer’s friend as she wanders on the deck of the ship and she watches the boarding of a truck with an open back trailer, full of standing cattle.
In the port, we see the magnificent pre-war Vatti Mansion of Akti Miaouli and next to it the magnificent neoclassical building that housed the Insurance Fund for Naval Agents and Employees.
Afterwards, we see views from the old fishing boat "ZINNIA" with a lit chimney, a panoramic view of the port and of the moored ships and a view the destroyer of the Navy "AETOS", where the Greek movie "Aliki in the Navy” with Aliki Vougiouklaki and Dimitris Papamichail took place.
The ship exits from the pier looking at the Gate 1 of Piraeus and continues its course to Crete. One last view at the chimneys of Keratsini that worked non-stop.
