Andravida is a town and a former municipality in Elis, in the northwest of the Peloponnese peninsula of Greece. A few kilometers away from the small town, is the Andravida Air Base, a military airport owned by the Hellenic Air Force.
The filmmaker is at the Air Base, driving across the camp, recording parked McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II warplanes and hangars.
We see a fighter in the sky, another one in the hangar that is being repaired, a Phantom that prepares for take-off, and an officer who poses next to the aircraft.
The filmmaker approaches, explores the aircraft, sits at the pilot's seat, greets and smiles at the camera.
High mobility from aircraft, the Phantom enters the runway, makes the necessary route and takes off.
A second Phantom takes off in which the second pilot holds the cinematographer's camera and gives us shots from the first aircraft, from the ground, the crops, the settlements, the roads and the lacy shores of the Peloponnese.
Finally the aircraft lands, it is already night, another aircraft takes off for its own shift.
