In the first shots, we see parts of an invitation by the Greek fashion designer Christos Maillis, for "Thursday, October 7, 1976 at the Hotel of Athens Great Britain", where the artist's winter collection will be presented. Afterwards, we see the exterior of the nine-storey hotel Great Britain (work of the architect Theophil Hansen, 1878) on Syntagma Square, on the corner of Vasileos Georgiou A' and Panepistimiou Streets.
We are moved to the specially designed-with a catwalk-room, inside the hotel, the guests have already taken their seats, the luxurious chandeliers go out, the show begins.
We see the famous model Vanessa crossing the catwalk in a midi dress with thick horizontal stripes, hat, and scarf, in the characteristic line and colors of the 70s. Models come and go displaying the designer's suggestions for dresses, deux-pièces, suits, coats, hats, beanie, turban, boots, shoes.
The collection mainly is about midi in length, in the designs of the fabrics there are striped, plaid, printed, floral, sequins but also monochrome, in the patterns we see loose, medium, pleated and in straight and wavy lines, with fabrics that serve daily or evening use.
We single out the also famous model of that era, Elizabeth.
We see views from the show’s backstage. The show continues with the maxi evening gowns made of luxurious fabrics such as silks, organza, chiffon, muslins etc. and capes for coats.
The show draws to a close with the presentation of the wedding dresses, the models step away, the audience applauds, backstage the designer receives congratulations.
