Description
Allahabad is one of the largest and most populous districts in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Also it is referred as East London. The Νative quarter is a traditional Indian district, in which the filmmaker travels as a tricycle passenger.
The filmmaker records his course. Throughout the ride we see footage from the driver’s feet on the pedal to an unregulated traffic jam between bicycles and tricycles and cars, accompanied by car horns and voices.
The whole area looks like a vast flea market full of food products or other merchantable items, while we see local architecture buildings, some of them in artistic decor or a simpler decor, as well as shops with their signs, free cattle and other smaller animals that are moving among the people.
At some point, a male voice is heard announcing something from a loudspeaker, while from another one we hear a female Indian singer.
